• Payment details (including card or bank information for transfers and direct debits)
• Identification such as driving licence or passport. Paperwork associated with the right to work in the UK

We also collect the following information to provide patient care, services and goods related to home care:

  • Consent is required by CarerWise Ltd, to enable potential carer details collected by our system, to be sent to a potential client who has posted care needs for the purpose of matching and suitability by the client. The benefit is carer details are held on the CarerWise Ltd system and when a job match comes in, the carer can decide whether they want to apply for that position. If yes, relevant details are sent to the potential client. The client receives all the potential carer details. The client can read through potential carer details and make an informed decision about who best suits their needs and requirements.

Our lawful basis for collecting or using personal information for safeguarding or public protection reasons are:

• Consent - we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
• Legal obligation – we must collect or use your information so we can comply with the law. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to erasure, the right to object and the right to data portability.
• Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organization or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:
  • Carers look after vulnerable people. Whilst the ultimate decision in who to take on as a carer lies with the client, CarerWise Ltd aims to ensure to the best of their ability that the person meets minimum criteria to enable their carer role before adding them to the system.
• Vital interests – collecting or using the information is needed when someone’s physical or mental health or wellbeing is at urgent or serious risk. This includes an urgent need for life sustaining food, water, clothing or shelter. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object and the right to portability.

Our lawful basis for collecting or using personal information for information updates, marketing or market research purposes are:

Personal data will not be kept for longer than is necessary to fulfil the specific purposes outlined in this privacy policy and allow us to comply with our legal requirements. All personal data held in your account will be deleted one year after termination of registration.

Duty of confidentiality
